Hundreds Protest as Bush Eats $2,000 Dinner

On Wednesday, July 28th, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel in St. Louis while Bush and top Republican Party members dined inside at a $2000 per plate fundraising banquet.

Workers International League Congress 2006

On the weekend of May 13-14, some 30 members and supporters of the Workers International League gatehered in St. Louis, Missouri for the 2006 National Congress. Guests included former members of Workers Action (who have now joined the WIL), and members of the rank and file UAW "Soldiers of Solidarity" movement.

Protest at Republican Candidate's Fundraiser Featuring Laura Bush

On May 19th, protesters gathered outside a $500 a plate fundraiser dinner being held at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Providence, RI. The fundraiser was for Lincoln Chafee, the incumbent Senator, who was the only member of the GOP to vote against the war on Iraq.  Chafee is not running primarily as an anti-war candidate, but rather as a "moderate" imperialist, with the aim of finishing up one adventure before embarking on another...
