Here you can find a number of leaflets and flyers you
can print out. See also the selection at Youth for International Socialism.
- Learn More About Marxism
Copy this flyer, make copies (preferably on red paper!), print a bunch out
and go to your local library or bookstore! In every book by Marxists or
about Marxism, Socialism, or Communism, insert a copy! When people look for
Marxist works at the library, they will find the flyer and this will lead
them to our websites! Help spread the word at your local public, college,
and highschool libraries and bookstores! You can also hand them out at
protests, concerts, coffee shops, etc.! You can write your local contact
info on there as well- a great way to make contacts for a discussion group.
- Hurricane Katrina: The Iraq
War Comes Home
With Katrina, Americans are realizing the full effects of the Iraq war and occupation. A
new WIL flyer. Print them up for use at the September 24 demos and for anti-war events in
general!
- The Revolution Will be Televised! A new leaflet from
the Hands Off Venezuela Campaign
It is vital that we counteract the lies and distortions of the corporate media. They
are not interested in the truth about Venezuela - they will stop at nothing to demonize
the struggle of the Venezuelan people in order to justify the crushing of the
revolutionary process. The heroic efforts of millions of Venezuelan men and women to
improve their lives proves in practice that it is possible to build a better world.
Available as a single-sided
leaflet or a double-sided
leaflet.
- Two Years of the Iraq War
A new WIL flyer on the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. This March 19 and
20, there will be demonstrations against the occupation across the country. Print
these out and hit the streets!
- We Need a Working
Class Solution to Working Class Problems
A new leaflet from the WIL. The pre-election period has made millions of Americans much
more politically aware and active. But the fact remains: working people do not yet have a
party they can call their own. We need a mass party of labor based on the unions that can
represent the interests of working people!
- New Hands Off Venezuela Campaign Leaflets!
Two new leaflets, one in English, one in Spanish, explain the need to deepen the
revolution and advance toward socialism!
- Hands Off Venezuela!
A new WIL flyer to launch the US Hands Off Venezuela! campaign. Let's not forget: a
victory in any country is a victory for all of us. Add your name to the list of supporters of
this campaign, or make a donation to support the work of the
Marxists in Venezuela. (please include a note indicating your donation is for the HoV
campaign).
- Defend Labor Rights!
Workers and their unions need to break with the Democrats in order to stop the onslaught
of the ruling class. We can rely only on our own strength and organization: those
who cannot defend the gains of the past will never be able to make gains in the future!
- Happy May Day!
The WIL wishes our readers and supporters a happy May Day. Celebrate the real labor
day this weekend by attending May Day rallies taking place across the country. Print out
this leaflet and help spread the ideas of Marxism in labor movement!
- New WIL Anti-War Flyer
The March 20 demonstrations will be the
latest in a long string of mass protests starting with the 1999 anti-WTO protests in
Seattle. Express your opposition to the occupation of Iraq! Socialism is the
only solution for the USA and Iraq! To end war, end capitalism!
- Hands off Venezuela!
The US-backed opposition has already made 2 coup attempts in the past 2 years. Now, they
are preparing again for a confrontation with the Chavez government and the revolutionary
Venezuelan masses. Defend the Venezuelan Revolution! Forward to Socialism!
- Socialism: the Only
Solution for Iraq and the USA
The war in Iraq drags on and on, and the situation for working people here
in the US continues to worsen, or at best stagnate. Working people and the youth are
beginning to see through the lies of the capitalist class which could care less that
entire families now live on the streets, or that 1.7 million people slid into poverty in
2002 (with African Americans particularly hard hit). The poverty rate now stands at 12.1
percent of the population - this in the richest country in the world! Median income fell
1.1 percent last year, and as usual, the poor were hardest hit. Its the same old
story: the rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
- Break with the Bosses' Parties!
Workers and young people need to strengthen and democratize the trade
unions and get rid of leaders who do not fight in our interests. We need to create new
unions where they do not yet exist, especially in sectors that exploit temporary and
immigrant workers. But more than that, we need to organize politically. The Republicans
and Democrats are mirror images of each other and offer nothing to the working class and
youth except more layoffs, a disintegrating social safety net, a rotting educational
system, war, racism and artificial division between workers of different races,
ethnicities, religions, and gender.

Communist
Manifesto (the Cover Page is Here)
A must read for all Marxists! In it, Marx and Engels outline the basic ideas of
Marxism / scientific socialism. From the origins of the bourgeoisie (capitalist
class) and the proletariat (working class) to the socialist revolution - it's all in
there!
An Introduction to
Dialectical Materialism (Cover Page)
Dialectical Materialism is the philosophical world-view of Marxism. By learning the
dialectical method of Marxism, we can gain a deeper insight into the processes evolving
around us in nature and society. This introductory booklet covers the basic ideas of
Marxist philosophy, and should serve as a starting point for further study and research.
Sea also: Marxism and
Modern Science.
An Introduction to
Historical Materialsim (Cover Page)
Historical Materialism is the Marxist method of interpreting (and participating in!) the
processes of human history. This booklet outlines this method, and traces the
development of human society from primitive communism, through slavery, barbarism,
feudalism, capitalism, and looks forward to the future socialist society.
An Introduction to
Marxist Economics (Cover Page)
Along with Dialectical and Historical Materialism, Marxist economics forms
the third main branch of Marxism, above all the labor theory of value. This brief
introduction by Alan Woods and Rob Sewell covers many of the basic ideas of Marxist
economics.

history, but a guide to building the revolutionary party! A must read for all Marxists!

and Modern Science (Cover Page)

Transition from Ape to Man, in which he anticipates the discoveries of modern anthropology, and What the Human Genome Means for Socialists
by Alan Woods, which expands on the material in the book Reason in Revolt. See also: An Introduction to Dialectical Materialism (Cover Page).

In Memory of Leon
Trotsky (Cover)
This little booklet is an excellent introduction to the ideas of Leon Trotsky, Bolshevism,
the Russian Revolution, Stalinism, and more. A must read!
The
Transitional Program for Socialist Revolution (Cover Page)
Written in 1938 as the founding document of the 4th
International, this pamphlet retains its power and relevance in the tumultuous world
situation we are faced with at the beginning of the 21st Century. As in the 1930s, we live
in a period of wars, revolutions, and counter-revolutions. Capitalism is in crisis
economically, socially, and politically in every nation on earth, and only a socialist
transformation of society with the direct, democratic participation of the working class
can offer a way forward.
If
America Should Go Communist and Workshop Talks (Cover Page)
These two short pieces by Leon Trotsky and James Connolly provide answers to some of the
most common misconceptions about socialism: Do socialists want to create a society in the
image of the Stalinist USSR? What will the future society look like? Isnt capitalism
the only possible system? Is socialism against religion? These questions and more are
answered in these light-hearted, but penetrating essays - a must read for all socialists!
The Paris Commune
of 1871 (Cover)
This booklet highlights the revolutionary events which took place in Paris in 1870 and
1871. The lessons of the first workers' state must be learned by the new generation
of Marxists!
The Spanish
Revolution (Cover)
This booklet includes 3 pieces on the events in Spain in the 1930s. The lessons to
be drawn from the heroic sacrifice of the Spanish proletariat are many. We must
learn from the successes and the defeats of the past in order to prepare for the events of
the near future!
