El Militante Sin Fronteras

Nuevo periódico marxista de la Liga Internacional de los Trabajadores

The WIL stands for the immediate and unconditional legalization of all undocumented immigrants:

- Full rights and amnesty for immigrant workers and their families.
- For the right of residency and dual citizenship.
- The right to speak one's own language.
- Access to Social Security with equal benefits for all.
- No to "guest worker" programs.
- For an end to deportations and for family reunification.
- No to militarization and repression on the border.
- For the unity of the working class and the trade unions to fight against racism! The labor movement must be at the forefront of the struggle to improve conditions for all workers.

Providence Immigrant Rights ProtestOn March 12th and 13th there were demonstrations called in Providence, RI in response to the raid, detention and deportation of immigrant workers that took place last week in the Massachusetts city of New Bedford.

Along with dozens of other workers and students who took part in these demonstrations , comrades of the WIL were present,  and were able to address the demonstration with their perspectives for the movement for immigrant workers' rights. The comrades had on hand the new issue of Socialist Appeal, which includes the article The Tasks of the Immigrant Workers’ Movement: For a working class program!

This Saturday, March 17th, there is another demonstration planned, this time in New Bedford, MA.

We need a massive outpouring of workers and students to demand the release of the detainees from the raid.

Here is the info for the event:

WHEN: Saturday, March 17th at 2:30pm

WHERE: 53 North Sixth St. (corner of Sixth and Elm), New Bedford, MA

There will be car-pooling from Providence leaving at 1:30pm, at these locations:

  • The Faunce Arch at Brown University (off of Waterman St.)
  • DARE 340 Lockwood St (off Broad St near Classical High School)
  • St Theresa’s Church 2275 Manton Ave

We'll see you there!

Be sure to print out and distribute the WIL's latest leaflet on the Immigrant Workers' Movement in both English and Spanish.
