Hell on earth is the only way one can describe the situation in the flood affected areas of Pakistan. People are going hungry, children are being hit by disease, poor pregnant women are lying in the open air under the rain. In these conditions the comrades of the PTUDC are doing what they can with the meagre resources at hand to provide some relief. Please help these comrades with whatever you can! |

The WIL supports the recent march in Philadelphia on the 19th of March and the move toward class independent politics in Pennsylvania. Even though president Obama promised “change,” workers are angry that the administration has continued the policies of the Bush administration. We throw our whole hearted support behind Jack Shea in his quest for Congress, just as we throw the same support behind the Americans who are looking for actual change, change that only Labor candidates can provide! Onward to Victory in Pennsylvania! |

We have received the following message from Honduran activists of the National Front of Peoples' Resistance against the repression of the Porfirio Lobo government. His government was installed through fraudulent elections organised by the coup regime, despite massive abstention of the masses and harsh repression. The repressive attitude of the Lobo government uncovers its pretence of being democratic. The International Marxist Tendency declares its full solidarity with the Honduran workers and youth who continue to struggle and are suffering the repression, killings. |

On January 15, the workers at Olympia de México SA de CV in Edomex, México, went on strike to protest against the fact that the company had not paid them bonuses agreed in the collective bargaining contract. Faced with the lack of interest of the bosses in solving their just demands, the workers have now decided to struggle for nationalisation under workers' control. |
